The founder of CWG Plc, Austin Okere, will lead a panel discussion for the Women in Leadership summit which is billed to hold tomorrow Thursday, 1st June 2017 at the Lagos Business School of the Pan-Atlantic University, Ajah. The event has the theme “Getting to the top and staying there”.

According to the organizers, “the programme aims at equipping participants with the peculiar knowledge and skills needed as women leaders to get to the apex of their career. It would also create an opportunity for them to share practical experiences with other women leaders about dealing with leadership challenges during these periods of uncertainties.”

Discussions at the event will centre around issues relating to challenges women face in getting and staying at the top, how women can resolve these challenges and advance to the top, the dynamics of women leadership, what bosses and subordinates expect of women leaders, Issues relating to diversity and inclusion and exchanging valuable ideas with aspiring women leaders.

Mr Okere was selected to lead discussions at the event owing to his status as an accomplished leader who is well respected in the corporate world and an employer of women.

The Lagos Business School is renowned for the provision of comprehensive education for professionals in Africa drawing on the experiences of multinational faculty and other participants. The Women Leadership summit, in particular, has been designed to enhance the management knowledge and skills of decision makers, especially women, in the industry.

Austin Okere is an entrepreneurship enthusiast. He is focused on mentoring and inspiring young people around the globe to achieve their full potential. He is an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Columbia Business School (CBS), New York and a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Innovation and Intrapreneurship.

Austin Okere also serves on the Advisory Board of the Global Business School Network (GBSN), a body dedicated to advancing the cause of knowledge sharing to inspire and transform business education across the globe.
